All Businesses and Landlords Must Be Re-enrolled to Vote
Deadline Wednesday 7th August
The Victorian government just changed the law for upcoming council elections. Now, business owners and property landlords in over 75 council areas must enrol from scratch with the actual council to be able to vote. There could be over 1 million ratepayers that have to do this.
Even if you have operated your business for decades or owned the investment property for decades, you must enrol again.
The council must enrol you by 4 pm on Wednesday 7th August 2024. ABC News TV explained the situation in the following video.
Please visit Council Voting to access the enrolment information for your council.
If they require you to print, sign and have the enrolment form to them, they must have it before 4 pm Wednesday 7th August. If you need to mail it, get it into the post by 5 pm Friday, 2nd August, to ensure the council gets it before the deadline.
You are a ratepayer, and your vote needs to be counted! Get enrolled ASAP!
