More business lobby group says the Victorian government’s support package for businesses affected by the recent COVID lockdown is too little and too late. The state government announced a $143 million support package to be shared by businesses most affected, such as hospitality venues, accommodation providers, the events sector, florists, hairdressers and performers, but Bill Lang from Small Business Australia says it doesn’t go far enough

Over 600,000 Victorian businesses were impacted by the Valentine’s Day lockdown. This package at best will get to 50,000 businesses and at best potentially provide them with $3,000 that’s not going to help with the rent with the wages the insurances. It’s way too little way too late.
