Well as economies right around the world now start to rebound from the COVID 19 pandemic. What will this mean for small businesses?

For more, we welcome Bill Lang from Small Business Australia in the studio with us. Hi, Bill. Always a pleasure to have your company.

Now let’s start off by talking about the travel bubble. It’s finally up and running. It’s been given the green light between Australia and New Zealand. What does this mean for small businesses in both countries?

Look, it’s been terribly exciting to see the family reunions take place and that’s a wonderful thing. But there’s a much, much bigger positive impact in terms of the confidence of consumers and people starting to plan about visiting not just to see friends and family, but to take advantage of the opportunity to vacation in these great countries.

A lot of opportunities for the Aussies to head across the Tasman and go skiing and trout fishing and see everything that New Zealand’s got to offer.

And it gets a bit chilly down there from time to time so we welcome the Kiwis into Australia, to our beaches to the warmer weather up north and hopefully, they’ll buy lots of souvenirs to take home.
